Tips for Preparing for Polygraph

  1. Ensure that you get a good night's rest. Do not stay out late, or stay up late watching TV, and do not work an all-night shift. Take the time to get a good restful sleep. Your body will thank you for it.

  2. If you normally eat breakfast, then do so the morning of your polygraph. Do not upset your normal eating routine.

  3. Please ensure you allot plenty of time for your polygraph examination. Most examinations take between 2 to 3 hours. However, some may take longer. Please take this into consideration when scheduling various appointments, airline flights, physician's appointments, hotel checkout times, etc. If it is determined that you have scheduled something that will interfere with testing and the time it may take to properly test you, no test will be administered, and you will be rescheduled.

  4. Please be mindful to not wear items such as law enforcement or military uniform, or any other article or type of attire that may interfere with the polygraph. These and other similar clothing items have various articles attached to them that will interfere with obtaining proper measurements. If you arrive wearing such attire, no polygraph will be administered. Either business attire or casual business attire is completely acceptable and will suffice. Absolutely NO weapons will be allowed in the polygraph examination room.
